About the Artist

Sally holds an honours diploma in Material Arts from the Ontario College of Art in Toronto and has also attended courses at LaTrobe College of Art and Design in Melbourne, Australia and NSCAD University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She has studied with many artists in workshops in both Ontario and Nova Scotia.

Over the years she has stretched her art practice in many directions, working as an artist, developing art curriculum, and coordinating as well as teaching art programs and courses.

Currently working from her studio in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia she also coordinates Access Art, an organization she created for the sharing of ideas, skills and techniques amongst the many creative people on the South Shore” and  the Sunday morning Life Drawing sessions in Mahone Bay.  She is an exhibiting  member of the cooperative, Peer Gallery in Lunenburg Nova Scotia, a member of the Nova Scotia Printmakers Association as well as the Mahone Bay Printmakers Collective.

She served as the South Shore Representative on the Board of Visual Arts Nova Scotia from 2010 to 2014 and currently serves as Artist Representative on the Board of Governors of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia

In addition to her art career she spent twenty years in the field of Museum Education and she currently works as a consultant in Museum and Gallery Education and Programming throughout the Maritimes.
