My art practice is driven by curiosity about, and experimentation with, materials and processes.
I have studied a variety of media:
fibre, wood, paper, clay, and metal.
In the last 15 years I have increasingly turned to drawing,
delighting in expressive line and form.
In 2006, with a move to Nova Scotia,
I had the opportunity to study printmaking
with Professor Emeritus Edward Porter, RCA.
It has become my primary practice.
The alchemy of etching, the spontaneity of monotypes,
the gutsyness of wood and lino cutting
are that access to line that I love.
Being a part of the ever-expanding group of talented,
sharing printmakers in this province has been an added joy.
I am committed to helping to foster a broader understanding of
and appreciation for, the art of contemporary printmaking.
